What we collect when you join the waitlist

• Your email address.
• The titles you chose.
• Which of our pages you signed up on, which version of the sign-up wording you agreed to, and when.
• Whether you open our emails and click the links in them, which our email service records.

We don’t ask for your name or address until you subscribe.

What we use it for

To email you when subscriptions open for the titles you chose, and now and then with news from Crossed Letter. We do this because you asked us to: the legal basis is your consent. We keep the record of your sign-up so we can show that you agreed.

We never sell or share your details for anyone else’s marketing.

Who handles it for us

• EmailOctopus (Three Hearts Digital Ltd, London) stores the waitlist and sends our emails. It keeps contact lists on Amazon Web Services servers in Ireland.
• Cloudflare hosts this website, runs the check on the sign-up form that stops automated sign-ups, and gives us visitor counts without cookies. To do this it processes technical data such as your IP address.

Cookies

This website doesn’t set cookies for tracking or advertising, and our visitor counts don’t use cookies. The anti-spam check on the sign-up form runs only to keep automated sign-ups out.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Every email has an unsubscribe link. If a title doesn’t launch, we’ll tell you, and you can stay on the list for the others or leave.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email [email protected].
